What are cookies, and what do we store?

Cookies are small text files a website writes to your device. Alongside them, browsers also offer local storage, which works on a similar principle except that the data stays on your device and is never sent to a server.

Elilasers.com sets no cookies at all. The site carries no advertising or social network tracking and builds no visitor profiles. Everything we save on your device stays in your browser's local storage and exists only so that the site can work.

That is also why we show no consent notice. Consent is asked for when a site wants to store something on your device that it does not need in order to work — tracking cookies for advertising or analytics. We store nothing of the kind. We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses neither cookies nor local storage and does not recognise you — it only counts how often a page was opened and where the visit came from. The only place where a third party would set cookies is the map on the contacts page, and it loads only when you press the button.

None of these entries is used for marketing, linked to you as a person, or passed to third parties.

Third-party services

Some parts of the site use external services which may themselves set cookies on your device:

• Cloudflare Web Analytics — anonymous visit statistics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
• Google Maps — the map on the contacts page. It loads only when you press “Show map”; until then no request goes to Google and no cookies are set.
• Google Fonts — the site's typefaces.
• EveryPay / Swedbank Gateway — the payment page you are taken to at checkout. We neither see nor store your payment details.
• Web3Forms — forwarding the enquiry and order forms by e-mail.

Cookies set by these services are governed by their own privacy policies.

How can I manage this data?

You can delete everything the site has saved at any time in your browser settings, together with cookies and site data. Instructions are on your browser's help pages: Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Opera.

Because the site uses no tracking or advertising, refusing these entries only stops the cart, the wishlist and the comparison from working — the site itself carries on as normal.
